I made the point quite neutrally--the Arabs thought the Israelis were sniping and the Israelis thought the Arab Legionnairs were sniping!!!

And I quite agree about the memorial to Deir Yassin, just as long as there's one also at Gush Etzion for those massacred there (including an aunt of mine).

The sad thing is that both sides refuse to recognize the pain of the other.

JeremyRabbi Jeremy Rosenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05079707877048417533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6141014.post-71504895662494681552007-10-26T09:41:00.000-04:002007-10-26T09:41:00.000-04:00Rabbi J - it is perfectly possible and indeed prob...Rabbi J - it is perfectly possible and indeed probable that both sides sniped at each other. I see you are new to the club of Jews finally appreciating Palestinian suffering needlesy inflicted by the regrettably less than perfect Jews.

It goes a whole lot deeper than we could ever imagine, brainwashed as we are by whitewashed anglo Jewish propaganda. Our boys were supposed to be all conquering green giants spreading peace and joy wherever they stepped. Instead they turn out to be a mixture of good and bad; many merciful, but some cruel; some immature and some resposnible; some scared and some brave. And sometimes (lebanon, chevron) deployed with incredible millitary and political ineptitude into situations which inevitable occasioned needless suffering.

Until someone puts up a plaque in Har Nof acknowledging that it used to be called Deir Yassin and that a massacre of 108 innocents needlesly took place there in 1948 at the hands of Jews - until such a time - I feel grave doubts about blindly throwing my supoort behind Israel's every action. We do not essentially have a PR problem. We have a respect for human dignity problem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
